Clap the beat game in music-Rad rythm.

WALT- Copy the beat as the person who did the beat.

Today for music we stood in a circle and we went around the circle as a class and one person would make a beat using our body parts and the rest of the class had to repeat what that person did. We really enjoyed this game and it was a good way to energize our bodies. Here is a short video of what we did in music.

Room 9's Goodbye speech for Mrs Manuyag

Farewell speech to Mrs Manuyag.

Dear Mrs Manuyag,

On behalf of Room 9 we like to say this is not our goodbye this is just the beginning of us to start a new chapter. The memories you are leaving us to hold within us and this school we will hold with pride and love and will never be forgotten for it is buried in our hearts. Mrs. Manuyag we will remember your funny laugh,  your beautiful smile, and your sense of humour. You have shown us great skills that will lead us to success. It is something you should feel proud of because you deserve it. You've encouraged us to be the great students we are today and our experience with you is something we will pass on to the younger students. We will continue to make you proud by doing what we love the most...learning.  You are wise, blessed, loving, sweet, supportive, encouraging, and inspiring. We wish you all the best to wherever the future leads you. If you look around you, you are surrounded by your Tamaki family and we stand by you and will always  be here for you. Take care of yourself Mrs. Manuyag and we wish you all the best..

I am going to describe the good and bad things of dogs and a description of what  dogs mean to people and different ways to stay safe around certain dogs.
Paragraph One

People have big interest in dogs because they are soft and cuddly and accompany you whenever you alone and you need a friend they will always be there with a  big smile and its cuteness.Dogs are a big part of people’s life because Dogs make people for better about themselves emotionally or physically.Dogs often keep people warm by laying on them or next to them.

My Maths Goals

MATHS REFLECTION

Today we had a visitor named Miss pie who came in and helped us learn different strategies to answer a question that was connected to fractions. We got in groups of 4 and we got a question each to answer as a group, she gave us some challenging questions to answer but as a group we finally got the answer. As we were learning more things in our session with her we started to understand what we were reading and what ways we can solve the problem.

My groups question was we had to equally share 15 bars of chocolate between 8 people, we solved it as a team by giving each person 1 whole bar of chocolate so that's 15-8=7.Then we had 7 bars of chocolate left that we had to divide for 8 people so we got 4 chocolate bars from the 7 and divided them into halves which means that each person now has 1 hole and ½.What was left was 3 bars of chocolate left so we divided 2 of the 3 and cut them into quarters and then we cut the last bar that was left over into ⅛ and all together they got 1 ⅞ equally between the 8 of them.

 OUR MATHS PROBLEM

The teacher were planning the student's school camp. For their activities student were put into groups of different sizes depending on the activities for that day. They were given bars of chocolate as a snack. Seven bars to the four children going kayaking Nine bars to the five children going to the swimming hole Fifteen bars to the eight children going to orienteering Eight bars to the five children going on a bush walk Was this fair way to share out the chocolate bars? How much chocolate did each group get? Which group got the best deal?
